The event was held in Slovenian and English with simultaneous interpretation, and it provided a forum to review the Slovenian project results and discuss how employment services, public authorities, social partners, civil society and international organisations can jointly support sustainable labour market integration.

During the conference, ZRSZ presented the work carried out in Slovenia under LABOUR-INT III, demonstrating how practical support for migrants can be combined with stronger cooperation among the organisations involved in their integration. Building on the project achievements, the national and international panel discussions explored how to move beyond access to employment towards sustainable labour market integration. Particular attention was given to the need to reconcile labour market demands with decent working conditions, skills development and the protection of workers’ rights, as well as to the importance of cooperation between public employment services, social partners and other relevant actors.

The discussions and results presented in Ljubljana reflect the multi-stakeholder approach promoted by LABOUR-INT III, which seeks to improve employment opportunities for migrants and refugees through cooperation between social partners, public authorities, employment services and civil society. By connecting practical initiatives at local and national level with European cooperation and social dialogue, the project aims to develop sustainable integration pathways that benefit workers, employers and society as a whole.

ZRSZ International Conference_1.10.2026_LABOUR INT III_AGENDA (EN)Download

On Thursday, 1 October 2026, the Employment Service of Slovenia (ZRSZ) hosted the international conference “More than employment: the Employment Service of Slovenia as a co-creator of an inclusive labour market” in Ljubljana, in the framework of the LABOUR-INT III project.
