On Thursday, 1 October 2026, the Employment Service of Slovenia (ZRSZ) will host the international conference “More than employment: the Employment Service of Slovenia as a co-creator of an inclusive labour market” in Ljubljana, in the framework of the LABOUR-INT III project.
The event will bring together project partners, institutional representatives, social partners and European and international organisations to discuss how labour market integration can be strengthened through inclusive employment services, social dialogue, local integration policies and cooperation between different levels of governance.
The conference will open with a presentation of the LABOUR-INT III project, including its objectives, activities and implementation in Slovenia. The discussion will then explore labour market integration of third-country nationals, migrants and refugees in Slovenia and in the LABOUR-INT III focus countries, looking at key trends, barriers and opportunities.
A dedicated session will focus on the Slovenian national perspective, with contributions from ZRSZ, national authorities and social partner organisations. The programme will also include a European and international dimension, with interventions from the International Labour Organization, the World Association of Public Employment Services and the European Labour Authority, addressing inclusive labour markets, decent work, labour mobility and compliance.
The final part of the conference will highlight the role of the Municipality of Ljubljana in creating opportunities for migrants and supporting inclusive social integration. The event will conclude with a cultural moment and closing remarks.
Through this conference, LABOUR-INT III will continue to promote structured cooperation between employment services, social partners, public authorities and local stakeholders, supporting more inclusive labour markets and stronger integration pathways across Europe.
