Under LABOUR-INT III, the pilot project in Lithuania implemented by LPSK focuses on strengthening the capacity of trade unions to support migrants in their integration into the national labour market. The core objective is the establishment of a long-term Legal Aid Network aimed at facilitating fair and sustainable labour market integration. To this end, LPSK provides legal consultations to migrants, including remote, written and phone-based advice, with a particular focus on pre-employment rights and protection against exploitation.
In parallel, LPSK organises training sessions for trade union branches to enhance their ability to independently provide legal assistance and guidance to migrants in the future. Outreach and information activities complement this work, including multilingual leaflets, social media campaigns, media appearances and translated website content in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Arabic. Through these actions, LPSK strengthens institutional capacity, improves migrants’ access to reliable information on labour rights, and lays the foundation for a sustainable support structure within the Lithuanian trade union system.
